A mother and her son have been treated by paramedics after a fire broke out in the bathroom of their Gillingham home.
The pair had managed to escape the property in Duncan Road by the time firefighters arrived and were waiting outside.
The woman, who is in her 60s, and the man, who is in his late 30s, were initially given oxygen therapy by the crews after breathing in smoke.
They were then looked after by the paramedics when they arrived.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus put out the small fire in the batheroom using a hose reel just.
They also used a ventilation fan to clear the house of smoke.
Two crews were called to the home just after 10.15am and left the scene at 10.40am.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
