The M2 has re-opened after an earlier crash left a fuel spillage across the coastbound carriageway.

Fire crews closed a lane of traffic after two cars collided between junction 4 for Gillingham and 5 for Sittingbourne at about 12.15pm.

No injuries were reported but there were delays for drivers heading to the coast while the spillage was cleared.

The road was fully re-opened at 2pm.
