An MP has taken to social media to share a plea after misplacing her son's teddy bear while at work.
Tracey Crouch MP for Chatham and Aylesford shared the Twitter thread tonight as she told the story of "Cuddles".
She said: "Each Monday my son packs his teddy Cuddles in my suitcase so that I have "someone to look after [me]" while I am away in London.
"Cuddles is gifted with pure selfless sincerity and an act I enjoy each week.
"I confess that at the grand age of 46 I cuddle Cuddles like I would if I was four. He is soft, sweet and reminds me of home. He also has the added benefit of acting as a cushion for my poorly sore post lumpectomy boob
"I get home and Cuddles is taken out of my suitcase and given back, although I still sneak in the occasional cuddle with Cuddles. Until now."
The toy in question resembles a white bear and seemingly makes up part of her son Freddie's collection of soft animals and the thread "about love" has sparked a few users to create #FindCuddles.
The MP goes on to explain where the beloved bear was last seen.
She added: "I did not realise until I got home and after frantically contacting the hotel, he remains lost. I do not understand how he could have been missed when stripping a bed but then how did I miss him when packing.
"I have made up some elaborate story about Cuddles going on an adventure. Freddie is fine. Truth is I am not. Because really it was a substitute for cuddles with my boy while I am away.
"And I do not care how old and grown up I am supposed to be I am going to miss that bear."
