A crash involving multiple vehicles is causing delays on the M2.

The eastbound motorway is partially blocked due to an accident near Medway services just before 6pm.

The crash took place between J4, near Gillingham, and Junction 5 for Stockbury Roundabout.

No serious injuries have been reported.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 5.58pm following a multi-vehicle collision on the M2 London-bound near the Medway Services.

"Officers attended and the carriageway was closed for a short period while the vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder."
