A new pub is set to be built near Chatham Docks and will create more than 45 jobs for people in the Towns.
Work is well underway on the new £3 million pub which is being built on land at Chatham Waters waterfront between the Asda store at Gillingham Pier and the docks.
It will be called The Mast & Rigging and is being built by Marston’s Inns and Taverns and will also have a working pizza kitchen catering for up to 150 diners.
Set to open early October, the Mast & Rigging will not only have the pizza kitchen it will also offer a grills menu, offering a range of chargrills and prime steaks.
The open plan pizza kitchen will be incorporated into the restaurant dining area offering customers a visual experience as they watch the pizza being made.
