A new shop where traders can rent a shelf to showcase their work has opened in Chatham.
Splendiferous, on the first floor of the Pentagon Shopping Centre is owned by Billy Palmer, 30, and his wife Becky.
The couple rent their own shelf at a shop in Essex and decided to bring the idea to Medway so they now let out shelves to local people wanting to sell homemade gifts.

Mr Palmer, said: “We are primarily a craft store.
“It is to give local people a place to showcase their gifts. They wouldn’t be able to do it themselves.
“We want to give people a place to buy handmade presents at affordable prices.
“We have candles, high end jewellery and things for bosses Christmas presents.”
The shop will also be visited by David Geoffrey, a local medium.
Mr Palmer also said they plan to put up more shelves next week so they can help out more businesses.
Anyone interested in displaying their work can message Splendiferous on Facebook.
The shop is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and between 10am and 4pm on Sundays.
Mr Palmer is also raising money in memory of his niece Lorelie, who died aged 13 months from Ipex syndrome, a rare condition which attacks the immune system and internal organs.
He decided to spend a year in fancy dress to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities and Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.
