A man who says he was accused of trying to kill his fiancée has made a formal complaint against social services.
We reported earlier this month how Nick Burton and his now wife Sue Judd had a torrid 2018.
Ms Judd, 62, spent 16 days in a coma and a further three months in a neurological rehabilitation unit after falling down the stairs at her home in Strood just before new year.
While she was being treated Mr Burton, 45, claims he was contacted by a social worker who told him he was under investigation for attempted murder.
He witnessed the social worker and two police officers turn up in his fiancées hospital ward and says he was told over the phone he'd be taken to court if he tried to marry her.
Mr Burton, of Frindsbury Road, shut himself away in the wake of the allegations."I shut all the curtains and wouldn't open the door," he said.
Then, he received a call from the same social worker telling him no further action was being taken.
But despite this Medway Council says it has no record of any investigation ever taking place.
Police say they did receive a call but wer unable to confirm who from and did not investigate further.
Now Mr Burton's gone to the council looking for answers.
The council has confirmed it is investigating.
