Nicky Lewis and Andy Smith both scored twice as Invicta Dynamos made a winning start to 2011 with a 7-2 success at home to Streatham Redskins.

Sunday’s victory, in Dynamos’ first game for three weeks, puts them in a strong position in the battle for the ENIHL Division 1 (South) title. They are second in the table, three points behind Wightlink, but with three games in hand.

Two goals and the man-of-the-match award for Lewis, pictured, were the perfect way to mark his return to the club from EPL Sheffield Steeldogs.

Corey Watkins, who grabbed the opener after eight minutes, Callum Fowler and Daniel Borges also joined Lewis and Smith on the scoresheet.

The Dynamos face a double header this weekend. They visit title challengers Chelmsford on Saturday and are on the road again on Sunday when they play Streatham once more.
