A man suffered a broken leg on a night out – but has no memory of how it happened.
Police are appealing for information after the victim was hurt in the Casino Rooms in Rochester.
Officers are investigating how the man received a serious injury to his leg in the early hours of Sunday, March 13,
The victim was inside the nightclub in Blue Boar Lane when he is reported to have disappeared between midnight and 1.30am.
He was then found being assisted by paramedics, having suffered a leg injury.
He was taken to a local hospital where it was confirmed that his leg was broken.
"We do not know if he was assaulted, or if the victim’s injury is a result of an accident."
Investigating officer Detective Constable Amy Jeffrey said: "The victim has no recollection of the events of that night, or how he came to sustain his leg injury.
"At this stage we do not know if he was assaulted, or if the victim’s injury is a result of an accident, so we are keen to talk to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have information which will assist our investigation."
The nightclub is under review by police after a spate of incidents including alleged drink spiking.
The venue has been subject to scrutiny after police made a request to councillors.
The nightclub said it was deeply saddened by the decision and that it was "committed to ensuring a safe night out for all.”
