There are fears a rugby pitch could become “unusable” after being repeatedly torn up by motorbikes and quad bikes.
Cliffe Recreation Field has been targeted on multiple occasions, with the parish council raising concerns over potential dangers to children and dog walkers in the area.
The field is used by local team Cliffe Crusaders RFC, however Cliffe and Cliffe Woods Parish Council said: “If this is allowed to continue then we are told that the field will become unusable for sport.
“Although funds are limited, the parish council, in collaboration with Kent Police, is investigating physical measures to interfere with motor vehicles entering and exiting the field.
“High-quality video surveillance has recently been installed and footage will be sent to the police as evidence and, in some cases, to help identify the culprits.”
On December 1 three people were seen riding bikes on the field at around 11am, and footage has been sent to police.
The parish council continued: “These measures alone may not be sufficient to deter those who wish to continue disrespecting our community and we need your help.
“Let's take a stand against anti-social behaviour and contribute to a safer community together...”
“Please don't hesitate to report all incidents of anti-social behaviour to the police.
“Your reports can make a significant difference in maintaining a peaceful and safe environment for everyone and reduce the damage to village amenities.
“By reporting these incidents, you are helping to create a statistical representation of crime in our area and influence where the police will patrol.
“If you see something, report it! Let's take a stand against anti-social behaviour and contribute to a safer community together.”
