A nursery for vulnerable children is reopening after shutting suddenly while an investigation was carried out.
Action for Borstal Community (ABC) will be opening its doors to children in the Borstal area on Monday (September 11).
The exact nature of the probe, which involved several agencies including the police, is not known.
The manager of the Mercury Close pre-school, which closed in June, was suspended from her role.
Trustees’ chairman Stuart Tranter said: “We temporarily closed due to administrative concerns which have now been resolved.
“We have a new project manager, Josie Iles, who brings an immense amount of experience, and she will be working with many of the old team plus some new faces.
“Our objective, as ever, is to serve the local community with much needed early learning facilities plus other support for local families which will be developed over the coming months.”
Mr Tranter added: “As chairman of the trustees I could not be more proud of the whole team, everyone has worked so hard and been so supportive.
“Thanks must also go to Kelly Tolhurst MP, Ashley Hook and his brilliant team at MHS, Medway Council children’s services, and Ofsted.
“They have all kindly advised and helped us through every step as we carefully prepared for this reopening.
“We are also grateful to the Medway Labour Group who offered to support us if we needed their help.
“Running a charity is never easy, but Medway is the place to be when it comes to community projects.
“We are all looking forward to a bright future.”
