A nursery has been targeted by thieves who trashed office equipment and left with £10 in petty cash.
Smilers in Chattenden Lane, Chattenden, near Rochester, was broken in to at some point over the weekend – and now a reward is being offered for anyone who can help catch the culprits.
In a statement on Facebook, the nursery said: "All this mess for them to get away with about £10 to £15 in coins.
"Not sure how many times we have to say that no cash or valuables are left in the building at either our Chattenden or Wainscott branch.
"And we are left again to foot the bill for the damage and clean up costs.
"We are currently checking CCTV footage at the nursery and at the school but are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward – we will be offering a reward – or any dashcam footage of any cars parked up or movement in Kitchener Road over the weekend especially last night.
"It comes to an all-time low when you have to attempt to steal and destroy a child’s environment in this small community."
It added police and forensics visited this morning.
Kent Police has confirmed it is investigating the incident which is believed to have happened overnight.
