A nursery has been shut by Ofsted while being investigated for safeguarding concerns.
The Woods Nursery in Cliffe Woods, near Rochester, opened in August last year and has now been suspended.
An Ofsted spokesman told KentOnline: "The nursery is currently suspended while we look into safeguarding concerns. We are unable to comment any further."
When contacted for a comment, a woman from the nursery who says she was in charge refused to comment on the closure.
The 50-place children's nursery, which cares for children aged between six months and five years, was opened alongside a new housing and office development off Town Road.
It is owned and managed by the Montessori Group, who has also been approached for comment.
Speaking in August last year Sam Groombridge, managing director of Montessori Group, said: “A chance meeting with the directors at Esquire has led to The Woods Nursery, which will provide high-quality child-led care that blends an academic focus with play in an amazing new nursery.
“The nursery enables our eight staff, including qualified carers and early years teachers, to offer affordable, yet premium quality childcare, which includes extra-curricular sessions of sports, drama, dance and even language learning.
"The nursery will provide high-quality child-led care that blends an academic focus with play."
The nursery registered in September 2020 and there are no records of any Ofsted inspections.
