A date has been confirmed for the opening of a new outdoor superstore which is creating 60 jobs.
Go Outdoors opens in The Brook, Chatham on March 26 in the former Tesco building. It is almost a year to the day since the supermarket closed it doors because the branch was not making enough money.
The shop will sell clothing and equipment for a range of activities including camping, walking, climbing, riding, fishing, skiing and running.
It will be one of the chain's new cycling concept stores, with huge range of bikes for all abilities and cycling workshops with trained enthusiasts.
Go Outdoors chief executive Chris Matthews said: "After several months searching for the right location and a refurbishment, we look forward to opening GO Outdoors 55superstore in Chatham, Kent.
"As the UK's largest outdoor goods retailer, we are thrilled to be able to offer Chatham locals a one-stop superstore for all of their outdoor activity needs.
"The GO Outdoors Chatham team are outdoor enthusiasts who will offer our customers a wealth of information and advice on all of the products we offer."
To mark the opening on March 26, Go Outdoors will be hosting an Easter festive family fun day, with a range of activities for the whole family to get involved in.
Go Outdoors will offer a discount of 15% off everything in store on the day.
