MORE than half of Kent's motorists admit speeding with all roads in the county having a problem.
In a survey by motoring organisation the RAC, 55 per cent of 1,074 people questioned admitted regularly break the speed limit.
Most drivers nationally admit to ignoring 30mph limits, with drivers continuing to speed because they believe they won't be caught.
Lorraine Collins, communications and promotions officer for the Kent and Medway Safety Camera Partnership, said they were concerned that 55 per cent of drivers admitted breaking the speed limit.
"However, we also take comfort that this percentage of drivers know that what they are doing is wrong," she said. "They have now admitted there is a problem and the partnership will continue to educate and encourage them to slow down, and help reduce the number of speed-related crashes and casualties through the combination of education, publicity and enforcement."
Ms Collins added: "In the first 19 months of the Partnership's operation there was a reduction of 54 per cent in the number of those killed or seriously injured at camera sites in Kent and Medway."
