Karl Lennon and Elliott Andrews have both re-signed for the Invicta Dynamos for next season – and Lennon will be the club’s new captain.

Lennon takes over from Grant Baxter, with Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish saying: "I thought it was time for a change of captain just to freshen things up a bit.

"Karl did a good job when he captained the side in the National Final last season when Grant was suspended.

"Karl is quite a calming influence on the side and says some good things in the changing room."

Lennon has made more than 200 appearances for Dynamos after making his debut in 2003, and Parrish added: "I regard Karl as one of the most hard-working and best defensive forwards in the league, and last season was also his most productive in front of the net with 15 goals and a total of 29 points."

That still left him some way behind Andrews, however, whose 52 points carried him over the 500-point career mark, and Parrish added: "I am delighted that Elliott is staying with us."
