Craig Wilkins returned to Kent football this week as part of a double signing by Chatham boss Paul Foley.
Former striker Wilkins (pictured), who converted himself into a central defender, has served Maidstone, Gravesend, Dover, Ashford, Folkestone and Tonbridge in the past and arrives at Maidstone Road from former Ryman League North rivals Maldon Town, with former Erith Town and Sevenoaks striker Billy Shinners.
Foley said: "Craig is the type of player we have been missing all season and brings us experience and a presence.
"He is strong in the air and will be a good influence on the pitch in an area where we have been disrupted by injuries and suspensions all season.
"Billy is another important signing as he gives us another option going forward.
"He is strong, good in the air and has good movement in the box which is why he scores so many. He is still young and only going to improve. I’m sure he can make the step up from Kent League football given the attributes he has."
Wilkins and Shinners are added to the squad for the home Ryman League Division 1 South game against Burgess Hill tomorrow (Saturday).
Foley said: "It is another tough match for us in a difficult run of games in which we have played seven out of the top eight sides in the league.
Midfielder Brad Potter (ankle) and Uche Ibemere (thigh) face fitness tests , while goalkeeper James Tedder will play despite a broken nose.
