A pensioner from Medway has appeared in court in London after being charged in relation to Operation Trinity, an investigation into historical child abuse allegations.
The 78-year-old, who lives in Lordswood, has been charged with child cruelty dating back to the 1970s and will soon appear at crown court in the capital.
She is June Entecott, a former foster carer, of Gleaming Wood Drive, Chatham.
She appeared recently at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court along with another former carer, Nicholas Barnes, 49, of Forest Gate, London, who has been committed to appear at Southwark Crown Court for trial in relation to three sexual offences on a child between 1987 and 1993.
Entecott will also appear at the same court on a date yet to be set.
Another man, also from London was also charged on Tuesday, January 6 with 15 sexual offences in relation to Operation Trinity.
He is Leslie Paul, 63, from Islington, who has been charged with indecent assaults on boys under the age of 16 which allegedly date back from the late 70s to 1983.
He has also been charged with possession of an indecent image of a child.
The charges, bar the indecent images relate to three victims and are alleged to have taken place in Lambeth borough between 1979 and 1983.
He was arrested in March last year by detectives from Operation Trinity, instigated in November 2012 following allegations of historical sexual abuse and is due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, February 3.
