CCTV taken from around the scene of a fatal accident shows cars and pedestrians in the area at the time.
Now police investigators are appealing for these people to come forward and help with inquiries.
A man in his 30s died after a collision with a brown Nissan Qashqai in Maidstone Road, Rochester.
It happened close to the junction with Hooper’s Road at around 2am on Saturday.
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is reviewing the circumstances and has identified that five vehicles, and several pedestrians were nearby.
KentOnline understands the victim was a 33-year-old local man who was not standing when hit by the car.
Investigating officer PC Jamie Woodhams said: "The people travelling close to the scene could have important information that can help us with our inquiries and I would encourage them to get in contact at the earliest opportunity.
"Additionally, I would ask anyone who was travelling in the area between 12.15am and 2.15am to review any dash cam they may have and contact us - particularly if it shows a man dressed in a blue shirt and grey trousers walking nearby.
"Likewise, any privately held CCTV could also provide important information."
