A woman has been taken to hospital after a crash between a car and a motorbike.

Emergency services are currently at the scene in Maidstone Road, Rochester, which remains partially blocked.

The ambulance service says it was called to reports of a crash involving a car and a motorbike at around 1.50pm this afternoon.

Crews assessed and treated the 20-year-old motorcyclist at the scene before taking her to Medway Maritime Hospital for further medical treatment.

Police have put in place a cordon at the scene by the parade of shops opposite Saint Margaret's Cemetery.

One person, who works in a nearby coffee shop, reported hearing a “loud noise” but didn't see the incident.

Traffic is building in the area and one driver said cars are slowly being let past but one lane is still closed.

Police have confirmed patrolling officers attended the scene.
