Pervert wedding photographer and bus driver Phil Davidson, formerly of Rochester, is let out of prison

A perverted wedding photographer who was jailed after being convicted of downloading sick images of children being abused has been released from prison, according to reports.

Phil Davidson, 40, was jailed in September last year for watching and downloading the vile videos, but several national newspapers are now reporting the paedophile has been released.

His former partner, Donna Winchester, 38, has spoken out in one newspaper, saying she is horrified to learn he is out.

Father-of-two Davidson, formerly of Keating Close, Rochester, used search terms such as 'baby rape' and 'kiddy rape' to obtain the vile material online.

He amassed a collection of 527 movies featuring children as young as 18 months suffering serious sex acts, involving bondage and even a dog.

Maidstone Crown Court heard the clips at the most serious level would take three and a half days to view.

Davidson, who owned a wedding photography business and was also a bus driver for Arriva, bizarrely claimed viewing the images gave him relief from depression.

Ms Winchester told the Mirror she is horrified he is out.

She said: "There is no justification for what he did. The phrases he searched made my stomach turn. I feel guilt that I didn't realise what he was doing.

"He had the perfect cover with his wedding photography.

"All those nights he said he was editing pictures – it sickens me to think what he was actually doing."

Ms Winchester was married to him for 14 years.

When he was jailed, Davidson wept in the dock.

He at first denied being responsible for downloading the indecent images when police raided his home. His wife and children were present.

Ms Winchester handed over all of Davidson's devices and took their children to a friend's house while officers scoured their property.

Davidson pleaded guilty and claimed seeing the pain of abused children relieved his own depression.

He was jailed for 16 months and has been freed after eight. He will also be on the sex offenders' register for 10 years.

One married couple spoke of their disgust at having him present at their wedding day after he was locked up.
