An application to convert part of a former school site into 11 flats and eight houses has been submitted.
Halil Ersunger and his Maidstone-based agent, Prime Folio, are looking at developing a section of what was St John Fisher Catholic Comprehensive School, Chatham.
The application would see six two-bed and five one-bed flats in a retained Edwardian building, and eight three-bed houses towards the back of the plot.
The remaining area of the former school is planned to be a new Aldi supermarket.
Staff and pupils moved from the Maidstone Road site to City Way, Rochester, in 2022 after nearly 60 years there.
The Edwardian house was built in 1901 and its exterior will remain mostly unchanged, apart from the removal of a conservatory.
The other segment of the site, where there are former school buildings from the 1970s, is owned by Aldi.
An application made for their demolition on February 4 was later retracted.
The company previously conducted a public consultation about the possibility of a new store, which is less than two miles from another branch near Rochester Airport.
It says it is preparing an application for submission to Medway Council for the site.
The homes proposals are currently being considered by local authority planning officers.
