Tom Dallas gained some much needed experience as he powered to an 11th straight win on Friday night in Brentwood.
The Chatham heavyweight (pictured) scored an impressive points win over awkward opponent Daniil Peretyatko in an entertaining six-round contest.
Dallas, 25, had won his last eight bouts inside two rounds.
Inside a packed and stifling Brentwood Centre he was made to work a little harder this time around – but still came out comfortably on top after winning every round, with referee Ritchie Davies scoring it 60-54.
It gave Dallas, who weighed in at 16st 7lbs, the ring-time he and his team craved.
"It’s a win, so I’m pleased," said Dallas. "It was nice to do the six rounds and I enjoyed the fight. I thought I went out a bit too quick in the first round.
"I threw lots of punches and I started feeling it in the fifth. It was hard to back him up and get him with a good shot.
"He is awkward to get to the body and so I kept going for the head. When I saw he was cut I kept going there.
"His eye was closing badly in the last round and I was trying to aim for it but I just couldn’t get through."
Dallas' next fight could be in Lordswood on August 28 providing his manager Mark Roe can get the go-ahead for an outdoor boxing show at the Sports & Social Club. Roe is due to meet with Medway Council officials today (Monday) to talk through the requirements he needs to fulfil to gain a licence for the venue.
