Police are investigating after three cars were set alight on a driveway in Blue Bell Hill village.
Firefighters were called to an address in Maidstone Road at about 3am on Friday.
Three cars; a Jaguar, a Nissan and a Volkswagen, were in flames. The owners had been woken by the sound of a car speeding away and called the emergency services.

It is thought the Volkswagen was completely burnt out and the other two cars were badly damaged. Two crews from Medway fire station spent about an hour on the scene. The police were also called.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue said: "The cars were well alight by the time we got there. The vehicles were very close to the house so there was a danger there but we managed to stop the flames from spreading to the property. The owners were very lucky considering the house is right on the edge of our call-out patch and it took us some time to get there. It is probably the worst place to live if you have a fire. It would have been pretty frightening for them."

"The police were already on the scene when we arrived. The cause of the fire is suspicious."
