Police carrying shields were reportedly seen in a residential street after concerns were raised about a man's welfare.

Officers were called to the house in Cookham Hill, Rochester at around midday yesterday.

The man was led out of the house by police and taken to hospital.

Police could not give any further details about the nature of the incident, or the extent of any injuries.
