A popular Italian restaurant is looking to expand into an empty unit next door.
The owners of Don Vincenzo in High Street, Rochester, have applied to take over a former bridal shop.
The extra space will be used to make the kitchen bigger, provide extra toilets, create storage room and accommodate a few more tables.
Director Agatino Trimarchi said: "It will also create more job opportunities so needed in the area."
The Wild Heart Bridal shop was situated next to the family-run business which has been in the town since 1998.
The proposed expansion comes after a new Spanish tapas bar Sol y Sombra opened a few weeks ago down the road at what was Candlelite eatery.
A sushi and fish restaurant at the former Simply Italian restaurant on the junction of Northgate is due to open shortly.
The owners, who also run the Brettington's Steak and Lobster House, Oliver's Bar and Restaurant and Rochester Coffee Shop, are currently having the three-storey building refurbished.
