GILLINGHAM supporters should know early next month just how many will be allowed to travel to next season’s derby at Millwall.
The club and local police chiefs have been having talks about restricting admission to away fans following serious disturbances outside the ground after the Division 1 play-off semi-final, second leg, against Birmingham at The New Den.
Meanwhile, Gillingham chairman Paul Scally has decided against standing again for the Football League management committee despite receiving encouragement from other chairmen.
A vacancy has arisen following the resignation of Bradford City chairman Geoffrey Richmond who has been forced to stand down after his club went into administration.
Mr Scally polled three votes when he stood two seasons ago. He said: “I do not have the time to devote to league business."
