Gillingham's Post Office has reopened at its new High Street site in Wards newsagents.
In October WH Smith announced it would be closing its Gillingham store - also home to the Post Office - in the New Year.
Wards at 53, High Street, has now been refurbished to accommodate three Post Office counters - two full-screened - and a Post Office serving point at the retail counter of the convenience store.
The opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5.30pm, and the same range of products and services will be available.
Customers of main UK banks can access accounts at new branch, while other services include bill payment, cash withdrawals and foreign currency, postage, home shopping collections and returns.
Post Office Network Area Manager, Sarah Hawkins, said: “The store looks great and we are delighted to have restored a Post Office to the centre of Gillingham before the busy Christmas period.”
The experienced Postmaster for Post Barn Post Office in Chatham is also now the Postmaster for Gillingham.
