Electricity has been restored after a power cut hit a swathe of streets this morning.
UK Power Networks reported the outage affecting the ME7 4 postcode, which covers a significant part of Gillingham stretching from the town's railway station south to the A2.
The interruption to the power supply to homes and businesses was first reported at 2.07am and is believed to have been caused by fault on an underground electricity cable.
Engineers arrived on site shortly before 3am and began work to establish the cause of the fault.
They restored power to the affected area at 12.55pm.
