There has been a widespread power-cut in Rainham this evening.

Houses across the town were without electricity and rail replacement buses were brought in as Southeastern trains could not stop in Rainham.

Power to the area has now been restored.

Engineers from Network Rail are working on the line and have apologised for any disruption.

Trains are now stopping at Rainham. Some services may still be delayed or revised at short notice.
