A power cut left some homes and busineses in Hoo without electricity for three days.
Residents said some properties had suffered blackouts since Tuesday.
EDF Energy Networks have had to deal with a number of faults in recent months across Medway caused by problems with underground cables.
In a statement sent at 5.45pm on Thursday a spokesman for EDF Energy Networks said: "Engineers are making good progress with repairs to restore supplies to 35 customers in the Church Street area of Hoo who have been without power since 4.09pm on Tuesday.
"The interruption was caused by a complex fault on our underground electricity network which has proved particularly difficult to locate, excavate and repair.
"However, we are in the advanced stages of this work and hope to be able to restore the remaining supplies by midnight.
"We sincerely apologise to customers for the inconvenience caused and recognise how difficult it has been for those who have been without electricity.
"Our staff are on site working to restore their electricity supplies as soon as possible."
Supplies were restored by 9pm.
