Despite being laid up with a bad ankle our very own Alan Watkins is still making the news.

His daily blog about the goings on at Medway Council has been praised on journalism website Hold the Front Page.

The site which follows news, achievements, and developments in the world of newspaper media, has launched a page Best of the Journalism Blogs.

In their list of the "best of the blogosphere" Alan's column - Tales from Gun Wharf - is there among the top in the country.

Their selection of "the best journalism and media-related blogs around" has links to other blogs from journalists on newspapers around the country.
