A Premier League and international football star who has shared the pitch with the likes of Lionel Messi has visited a Kent tourist hotspot.
Giovani Lo Celso swapped sunny Miami, where he scooped a second Copa America title with Argentina, for Halling in Medway just a week before he rejoins Tottenham Hotspur.
The 28-year-old midfielder was spotted at St Andrews Lakes in Quarry Grove with his wife and daughter.
The site’s social media posted a picture of Lo Celso with his family and said: “Copa América 2024 champion Giovani Lo Celso enjoying the sunshine at St Andrews Lakes today!”
Many were shocked to see the footballer in the county, with one person joking he could afford the lake.
Another joked: “Must be going to Gillingham on loan this season.”
Lo Celso took to his own Instagram to post pictures alongside his wife, Magui Alcacer, and their daughter to his 3.6million followers.
Although, he made a slight mistake in his caption, with the Argentinian writing: “Summer in London.”
St Andrews Lakes is nestled in the countryside of Kent in Rochester and has been transformed from a quarry into a blue lake reserve with a range of water and land based activities for all ages.
