This year's Pride In Medway winner is make-up artist and tattooist Camilla Seton.
She launched a permanent make-up business for people who are undergoing cancer treatment.
Her free treatments include eyebrow tattooing for those who have lost hair through chemotherapy.
Camilla, who is from Rochester, also creates 3D nipples for women who have had mastectomies.
Unfortunately, Camilla could not attend the ceremony as she was improving her skills at a training course in Yorkshire.
She was the first Pride In Medway winner to accept her award via video link, and she said she was "humbled".
Her nominator Kelly Wright, who had her eyebrows tattooed by Camilla, was on hand to collect the award.
There was a record 38 finalists at the award ceremony at MidKent College, in Medway Road, Gillingham.
Each finalist was presented a trophy by host kmfm's Nicola Everett and children's TV presenter Phil Gallagher, better known as Mister Maker.
The awards nine sponsors also crowned their champions.
Youth Olympic boxing gold medallist Karol Itauma was announced winner of the category named after former Medway Messenger news editor Sarah Clarke.
It celebrates and commemorates the Medway Messenger's news editor who died of cancer last year. She loved the Pride In Medway awards and was integral to making them the success they are today.
Seventeen-year-old Karol helps coach youngsters from deprived areas, and as Sarah loved sports and championed young people, he seemed the perfect candidate.
