A prisoner found to be “comatose” in his cell after taking drugs is to be sentenced later this month for dealing.
Harry Norman was caught on November 17 last year with 42 grams of heroin and 175.99 grams of the “zombie” synthetic drug spice.
Prosecutor Antony Hook said it was accepted that the 28-year-old married father was a “custodian” of the drugs for other inmates in Rochester Prison.
Appearing at Maidstone Crown Court by TV link with Exeter Prison, Norman, from Devon, admitted possessing the drugs with intent to supply.
Ian Dear, defending, said Norman, who was serving a sentence for assault, had been recalled and had 14 months left to serve.
Sentence was adjourned to the week beginning December 17.
