The first public consultation meeting to discuss plans to close three schools in Medway will be held on Wednesday.
Hundreds of people are expected to attend the meeting from 6.30pm to 8pm at Ridge Meadow School, in Churchill Avenue, Chatham.
Medway Council plans to close the school along with St Peter’s and St John’s infant school in a bid to transform primary education in the Towns with £11 million government money.
While the two infant schools face closure due to surplus places Medway Council wants to close Ridge Meadow so it can use the land to expand Bradfields - a special educational needs school, which shares the same site.
The second public consultation meeting will be held at St John’s Infant School, New Road, Chatham, from 6.30pm to 8pm on Tuesday, July 7.
The third public meeting concerning the future of St Peter’s Infant School, will be held at St Peter’s Church, Delce Road, Rochester, from 6.30pm to 8pm on Monday, July 13.
