Rocco the puppy is getting plenty of treats after being reunited with his owners.

As exclusively revealed on Friday, Rocco, who was stolen during a burglary, was found wandering in woodland seven weeks after he went missing.

Owners Lucy McNaught and Jake Lal, of Lancelot Road, Strood, had virtually given up hope of ever finding their Staffordshire bull terrier.

The couple had set up a Facebook group, Who Stole Rocco, and more than 1,200 people joined the hunt.

Then on Wednesday last week, the pet was found in woodland not far from Tesco in Gillingham.

He was taken to a vet and checked over before being returned to Lucy.
She said: "Just a week ago I had almost given up hope of ever seeing him again.

"I was still in shock when I got to the vets - it was a very emotional time, but I knew it was him as soon as I saw him.

"Rocco was a little skinny, but licked my face and was very happy to see me. He was fine when we got home and he seemed to settle quite quickly.

"The vet didn't think he's been dumped in the woods long and I must say a huge thank you to the family who found him and Denise Ford, the Doglost co-ordinator.

"She's been great and helped me a lot throughout."
