Traffic was queuing on the M2 after an accident between a van and a car.

All vehicles were temporarily held just after junction 2 on the London bound carriageway at about 7.30am

Congestion was stretching back across the Medway Bridge to junction 3.

Kent Police were called to the scene of the collision, along with firefighters from Strood.

No serious injuries were reported, but the car flipped on its side after being hit from behind by the van.

A woman in the car was able to get out of the vehicle before crews arrived on the scene and said she was suffering from neck pain.

All lanes have now been reopened and traffic has cleared.
