Hundreds of punters armed with inflatables queued up to cool off in a lido.
The line of people at The Strand, in Pier Approach, Gillingham had built to around 250 people up before the pool opened at 11am.
Hundreds of families had showed up ready to play in the water and enjoy the summer sun.
The lido was so popular that Medway Council issued an apology via their Facebook page to people who were unable to get in.
The post said: "Apologies to anyone who was unable to get in to The Strand today.
"Due to exceptional weather forecast for tomorrow, we are expecting to reach capacity very quickly.
"Once capacity is reached we will not admit any further entry for the rest of the day.
"This is to avoid any unnecessary queuing in extreme heat."
The hot weather will reach an unbearable 37C tomorrow.
In a tweet The Met Office say it could get up to a record breaking 39C in the South East.
Across the county The Met Office has warned of "exceptionally warm" temperatures reaching "heatwave thresholds" in some places.
If you're travelling by train tomorrow watch out as Southeastern is reducing its services.
WATCH: Queues for The Strand, Gillingham
Stacey Cameron, who was in the queue earlier today with her kids, said: "We're off of work and we thought we'd come down here. I've not been here for years."
Visitors received a paper ticket upon joining the queue, which they were told would allow them to get in.
Becky Vincent said: "Last year, we queued for two hours, this is a lot better."
The metal rails can exceed 50C in direct sunlight, so speed restrictions will be introduced as the tracks could buckle in the heat.
