A teenager who helped save his father's life when he collapsed at home after having an epileptic seizure has been given a surprise gift from kmfm.

Bailey-Jae Seaward reacted quickly in the early hours last month when his dad Roy was suddenly taken ill and fell down the stairs.

Bailey, who had just taken part in first aid training at his school in Rochester, realised his father had stopped breathing and carried out CPR while he waited for ambulance crews to arrive.

His father has just left Medway Maritime Hospital and to reward his son's incredible bravery and calmness under pressure, kmfm has stepped in as part of its Make Someone’s Christmas campaign with Kent Reliance.

Arsenal fan Bailey, who is one of six children, has been given tickets to a match watching his favourite team, as well as a tour of home ground the Emirates Stadium and the club's new football strip.

Bailey, who lives in Rochester, was nominated by Daniel, father Roy's best friend, who was "amazed" at how Bailey coped in such difficult circumstances when his dad became ill.

He said: "In the early hours one November morning Roy collapsed in their home after having an epileptic seizure.

"The family were awoken by this as Roy had fallen down the stairs.

"Quick to react, 14-year-old Bailey, who had recently taken part in first aid training at his school in Rochester, realised that his father had stopped breathing; and whilst awaiting the emergency services proceeded to carry out CPR.

"Bailey was calm and managed to get his father breathing again, and his actions in such difficult circumstances, at such a young age, have amazed us all.

"Myself and his family and friends would like to show Bailey how much his actions have inspired us all."

Yesterday, Debbie Greensmith from Rochester, who runs community projects for the homeless and elderly, was given a £400 shopping voucher as part of Make Someone's Christmas.

On Monday, university security officer Beatrice Janes was treated to a London theatre trip in recognition of being like a second mum to hundreds of students at Canterbury Christchurch University.
