But some die-hard concert-goers say they are unhappy, with one commenter on Facebook calling the line-up "uninspiring".
Suzanne Marie Freeman wrote: "Awful line-up.
"Good luck with the sales.
"Let’s hope next year you rethink the terrible discriminating mistake you’ve made this year."
Beckie Kemsley also waded in on the conversation adding: "Gutted it's such a shocking line-up!"
But Nicola Roberts seemed to be impressed with the organisers' choice.
"We MUST get these tickets!!" she wrote.
Meanwhile, on Twitter, music fans have been vocal about their disappointment.
One user pointed out in the last five years there have been only two headline acts which included women.
Michael Chandler wrote: "Well that line-up is totally uninspiring, so along with the ticket price rise and not being able to take our own drink I'm out."
But BBC staff were landed in hot water, after tagging in the wrong UB40 Twitter account in their social media.
It's not all bad news though, as Kirsty Bush announced she was excited about Ronan Keating coming to Medway.
