A 14-year-old Gillingham girl who had been missing for eight days has been found safe and well.
Jessie Gill had last been seen on CCTV leaving Abbey Wood train station in south-east London just after 7.15pm on Saturday, October 17.
A police spokesman said she was found in the Abbey Wood area at around 7pm Sunday.
Det Insp Gary Smith, who led the investigation into her disappearance, thanked the public for their help, adding: "Their assistance was crucial in finding jessie and in bringing this search to a swift and safe conclusion."
Fears had been growing for the teenager's safety and earlier on Sunday her distraught mother, Charnjit, had made an emotional plea for her safe return, saying her disappearance was totally out of character.
The New Brompton College pupil was reunited with her family on Sunday evening.
