The traditional Remembrance Sunday commemoration through Chatham will be going ahead but with no spectators.
All parades were cancelled in the Medway Towns this year in line with government guidelines on Covid-19.
It has since been announced a limited wreath-laying ceremony will replace the service, which would normally attract thousands, to the war memorial at Victoria Gardens.
This will be live-streamed on the Love Chatham Facebook Page from 10.30am on Sunday.
Cllr Vince Maple, organiser of the Chatham Remembrance Service, said “Like so many things this year, Remembrance Sunday in Chatham will be very different indeed.
"My thanks to everyone who has played their part in making sure the scaled back service can still go ahead on Sunday.
"I urge residents to stay at home and play their part in the Chatham Remembrance Sunday service by watching the live stream which is being hosted on the Love Chatham Facebook page.”
The service will be taken by Rev Martyn Saunders with the support of Medway council, Kent Police and Copper Rivet Distillery who are providing hand sanitiser for the event.
Other featured organisations include A1 Events and Kent Media Group who are producing the live stream and the Halpern Charitable Foundation and Nucleus Arts who have produced a community led remembrance video which will be shown as part of the live link.
