While Christmas may be almost over for most families, the Lamberts are still waiting for the one present they really want - a phone call from their missing son.
Six months after Richard Lambert, of Fowey Close, Chatham, disappeared there is still no sign of him. The 20-year-old didn’t get in touch with any of his family or friends on his birthday in July and his Christmas presents remain unopened.
While parents John and Marion tried to keep Christmas as normal as possible for younger siblings Natalie, 18, and Ben, 13, there was always hope Richard would get in touch.
John said: “We tried to make the best of the day. I kept hoping Richard might call us up on Christmas morning. There were presents at home waiting for him.”
No-one has seen Richard or spoken to him since the early hours of Saturday, June 13. He had been out in Maidstone with his friends but had a row with his girlfriend and left.
Richard briefly returned home at about 5.45am but has not been seen since. His mobile has been switched off and he has not drawn any money out of his bank account.
Richard drives a distinctive car which activated a camera in New Road, Rochester, in the early hours of June 13 but it has not been seen on any cameras in the UK since then.
He is 5ft 9in, stocky, with short, light brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a McKenzie T-shirt. Richard drives a black Ford Fiesta ST 500 with a white trim on the bonnet. The registration plate EY09 YST.
