Biker in hospital with serious head injury after crash in The Brook, Chatham

A motorcycle rider suffered a head injury after his bike and a car crashed in a town centre yesterday.

The man, who is in his 20s, suffered the head injury following a collision with a car in The Brook, Chatham, at about 4.25pm.

The rider, who is from East Malling and is currently in hospital in a serious but stable condition, was injured after his bike, a silver Honda ADV 750 and a Skoda Octavia collided at the junction of Whiffen’s Avenue.

Kent Police is appealing for information after a motorcyclist sustained a serious injury in Chatham.

A teenage man from Chatham, who is believed to have been a pillion passenger on the bike, was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital, for minor injuries.

The occupants of the car were uninjured.

Now officers from Kent Police’s serious collision investigation unit are investigating the circumstances and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

They are particularly keen to hear from people who have dash cam footage of the incident, or the vehicles being driven in the moments leading up to it.
