Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash today.

The accident involving two vehicles happened in Terance Butler Avenue, near the McDonald's leading onto Medway City Estate.

The drivers, a man and a woman, were treated for chest pains at the scene before being taken to Medway Maritime Hospital with minor injuries.

Anthonys Way was closed in both directions and there were long tailbacks as a result.

Police were called at about 7.15am to the crash between a white Ford Transit van and a grey Ford Kuga.

The road re-opened just after 9am.
