BT Open Reach is on the scene making repairs.

Avalon Monk saw the closure at around 8.15am when she was walking past on her way home from work.

She said: “The road is closed but traffic is good. It’s happened by the laundry place.

“They have already done something with the wires and the pole is on the path.

“The bottom looks like it was snapped, there are only two officers and Open Reach on the scene.”

Open Reach and the police have been contacted for further information.
