Rochester Bridge was closed to all traffic for a short time this morning after a man was seen sitting in the edge.
Police were called at 11.18am after someone reported the man sitting on the wrong side of the railings near the Strood end of the bridge.
He was taken home by officers at 11.30am and the road was reopened shortly afterwards.
