Normal service has resumed at the new £26m Rochester railway after it was hit by a power cut - just weeks after opening.
The cause of the outage on Monday afternoon is not known but it affected passengers arriving and departing from the state-of-the-art site.
Passenger Shane Jarvis tweeted: "Southeastern has closed its state of the art brand new station because of a power cut. You couldn't make it up. My train stopped at Rochester station but they wouldn't let us on. #southeastern for great customer service. Not."
Services resumed around 6pm with the train operator tweeting: "SE Update - Trains will now resume stopping at #Rochester following an earlier local power failure."
The station was unveiled by rail minister Claire Perry and Rochester and Strood MP Kelly Tolhurst just two weeks ago. Ms Perry said: “This is a really impressive new station for Rochester, which is now delivering better journeys for passengers in the area, as well as transforming rail capacity and connectivity. It is a station the town can be proud of and offers a big opportunity to boost economic growth in the area."
