A busy roundabout which has been causing delays for drivers all morning has returned to normal.
A crash involving a car and lorry on the A228 near the Four Elms roundabout in Wainscott, near Strood, had also caused the A289 to be blocked at the Hoo exit.
It led to the turn-off at the roundabout being shut by police.
It was also causing congestion back to the A226 Gravesend Road.
The crash involved a lorry and car, with the latter spotted on the grass verge with its front damaged.
Kent Police says the crash was first reported shortly after 8.30am.
A spokesman for the force said: “It was a collision involving a car and lorry on the Chatham-bound carriageway.
“Officers and ambulance crews attended, and the driver of the car was treated at the scene.
“His injuries are not believed to be serious.”
